The Bouncing Souls – Comet
08/06/2012 in Music
Well I never thought this moment would come soon enough, The Bouncing Souls have another album and what we all know as The Bouncing Souls is still true. The sound is similar to their album “Ghosts On The Boardwalk” and one of the stand out tracks are “Fast Times”. Track three is their single “Static” which you may have heard streaming over net the past couple of weeks. I’m must admit I’ve been a fan of this band for a long time now, and whatever I say will be praise, however, I do miss the old school Bouncing Souls with faster songs, like “That Song” with the intro “I put that record on, just to make a sound” and who will ever forget those lyrics from “True Believes”.
I think the fans of The Bouncing Souls will love this album, however I don’t think many fans of Rise Records will take to it. Overall this album is mellow and well produced, “We Love Fun” will get you bopping in your chair and “Infidel” will bring you back to bounce your soul. “Ship In A Bottle” is the final song of the album and it’s the one that really stands out for myself, classic last song. I can’t say much more besides if you’re a long time fan, get it on vinyl. Comet was produced by Bill Stevenson and recorded at The Blasting Room.
Comet comes out on the 12th June via Rise Records in conjunction with Chunksaah Records.
