Over-Reactor Release New Single MOUTH OF THE GHETTO
Wake up! Get out of bed! Melbourne’s Death-Hop masters, Over-Reactor have emerged from the studio with their new single “MOUTH OF THE GHETTO”. This first installment is also the title of their forthcoming album, due in May 2012.
MOUTH OF THE GHETTO is accompanied by a world first film clip. Choreographed dance featuring singer Ezekiel Ox which blends metal, hip-hop and krump with Melbourne’s finest street art. The band has created a dark, brooding world, where a lone gang seethe against the system. Shot in one day with Blackbox Films and Nicole Cleary, it has already had thousands of hits in just over a week.
Over-Reactor was never going to be a conventional project. It’s two members, firebrand musical journeyman Ezekiel Ox (ex Mammal, Full Scale) and shock-pop multiple instrumentalist Cory Blight (ex Dukes Of Windsor), handle all the bands recordings, mixing and the choreography and direction for the video. The band also have shadow band member, design wunder-kid Josh Meney, handling all the bands design and online media making Over-Reactor one of the countries most independent and sustainable bands.
Since their inception in Jan 2010, they have
· Toured nationally with Karnivool, Front End Loader, Floating Me, Cog, Piggy, and Poetikool Justice.
· Played headline shows in VIC, NSW, TAS, QLD, ACT, SA
· Released one single, debut album and compilation
· Collaborated with Aria Award Winner Chris Cheney, who plays the solo on “Something More” from the album Use your Delusion, described by Beat Magazine as “an unconventional gem of a record”.
